SmartCold ALERTS AND REPORTS
Historically, the terms ‘qualification’ and ‘validation’ have been used interchangeably within the cold chain industry. This has led to a significant amount of confusion in the industry, which could be avoided by standardizing the definitions of both ‘qualification’ and ‘validation’.
Qualification: a documented testing that demonstrates with a high degree of assurance that a specific process will meet its pre-determined acceptance criteria.
Validation: a documented testing, performed under highly controlled conditions, which demonstrates that a process consistently produces a result meeting predetermined acceptance criteria.
Some of the significant parameters to be monitored and requiring continuous reporting are as follows:
Temperature conditions at origin and destination
Alerts & alarms
Load configurations
Transport routes and modes (water, air, ground, international and so on)
Total duration of transit
Duration and location of handling and stop-over points
Product handling
Operational reports
Data Analysis & Reporting
Segment and trip data is aggregated for cold chain analysis. Reports are prepared evaluating performance in multiple ways –by supplier, receiver, carrier, product type or trip. Graphical reports are distributed to pre-determined recipients on a monthly basis. A dedicated Program Manager interprets the information, pinpoints areas of concern, recommends and prioritizes process improvements.
Alerts
What if you’re out playing golf and something is going wrong with the million dollars worth of freight that is being shipped from New York to California? Alerts can be sent to your mobile device anytime something happens. Alerts are the instant informers for any transit mishaps or events which require immediate attention. Problems can be immediately taken care of and fines, damages and legal hassles could be avoided.
Advantages of this module:
“As Of” reporting provides immediate status of many operational activities
Gain full visibility throughout the cold supply chain like packaging, shipping, transportation, receiving
Understand the impact of time and temperature on quality and shelf life
Evaluate carriers
Ensure Standard Operating Procedures & regulation compliances
Intelligent operational level cold chain performance
Identify trends and patterns of the industry
Forecast sales
Financial decisions including P&L
Prioritize corrective actions for in-transit freight spoilage
Mobil, email, efax alerts instantly
Flexible distribution of reports through various methods: email and centralized access
A single architecture for viewing, querying, analyzing and authoring for collaborative contributions to any report including dashboards
Web based deployment
